Secular views
The Bible lists astronomical events that seem exaggerated or impossible. These detract from the validity of the Bible.
- "According to Joshua 10:12-13, the sun stood still in the sky. The author probably thought of the sun as going around the earth, but even if we take it to mean that the earth suddenly stopped rotating on its axis, objects would have been hurled off by the centrifugal force, which didn't happen. Hence, the account is erroneous."
